Where the company stands today
Luang Pharma is establishing a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in the Boten Economic Zone, Lao PDR. The company is not yet manufacturing, holds no manufacturing licence, and none of its portfolio lines are registered or available for supply.
The collaboration
The team maintains long-term collaboration with Peking University and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. The agreed areas are advanced research, technology transfer, protein purification, formulation process optimisation and joint talent development.
What it means for the facility
The facility is planned around two operating modules. The second module covers protein raw material production and purification, with a designed annual output of 80 to 100 kilograms of lyophilised protein powder. The research collaboration supports the process transfer work required to bring this module into operation.
