01 · Proposed service scope

Start with the product and its container.

Lyophilisation is presented as a planned service domain. The exact product formulation, selected presentation format and defined thermal processing route would ultimately dictate its functional scope.

The initial Boten formulation-and-filling plan identifies lyophilised vials and single-chamber lyophilised cartridges. That documented plan is the starting point for any discussion of a freeze-drying cycle for a specific product.

Cycle parameters and product behaviour under vacuum present a fundamental technical boundary. The successful translation of a thermal profile to large-scale equipment requires distinct thermodynamic assessments beyond mere formulation stability.

Catalogue boundary

A planned catalogue for scoped evaluation. Inclusion does not establish installed, qualified, licensed or available capability.

03 · Process scope for discussion

Make the sequence and its evidence visible.

01 · Process stage

Planned

Thermal profile evaluation

Assess the critical temperature boundaries and freezing behaviour of the proposed liquid mixture.

02 · Process stage

Planned

Equipment loading sequences

Define how partially stoppered containers would be transferred into the freeze-drying chamber.

03 · Process stage

Planned

Freezing phase controls

Establish the cooling rates required to achieve complete solidification of the product matrix.

04 · Process stage

Planned

Primary drying parameters

Consider chamber pressure and shelf temperature settings needed to sublimate ice mass effectively.

05 · Process stage

Planned

Secondary drying adjustments

Identify the elevated temperatures necessary to remove residual bound moisture from the cake.

06 · Process stage

Planned

Chamber backfill and stoppering

Define the inert gas environment and mechanical actions needed to seal the containers.

05 · Readiness questions

A service claim needs a defined evidence base.

Thermal characterisation data
Glass transition and collapse temperatures for the specific product formulation.
Chamber qualification status
Appropriate technical qualification of the installed freeze-drying equipment and supporting utilities.
Cycle definition parameters
Documented time, temperature and pressure setpoints for every process phase.
Moisture acceptance criteria
Established limits for residual water content in the final dried product cake.
Regulatory facility permissions
Relevant authorisations from the applicable authority covering complex aseptic operations.
Quality review boundaries
Documented agreements delineating responsibilities for cycle data review and deviation management.

06 · Practical questions

Before a technical discussion.

Is this service currently available?

No. The service is Planned. This page is a scope proposal and does not establish an operating lyophilisation service.

Which presentations belong to the initial Boten plan?

The initial plan identifies lyophilised vials and single-chamber lyophilised cartridges. Other freeze-dried formats in the wider catalogue require separate scope confirmation.

What information helps define the question?

Identify the proposed formulation, presentation, required thermal cycle, development stage, destination and the technical question. Confidential data should only be shared through an agreed route.

Is there a service launch quarter?

No. No service-specific quarter is established. The project-wide indicative milestones do not commit any individual service to a start date.

Does a technical discussion establish supply?

No. Feasibility, cycle scope, facility permissions, process evidence and a technical agreement would need to be established before any supply commitment.
